TUJENGE 2026 Is Here - Africa’S Largest Sugar Industry Gathering Opens Registration

Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering is back. The Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo returns in 2026 for the TUJENGE Edition — bringing together the people, ideas, technologies, businesses and innovations shaping the future of the sugar industry.

The countdown has begun.

The Kenya Sugar Board (KSB) is pleased to announce the return of the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo 2026 — TUJENGE, bringing the sugar industry together once again for what has grown into Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering.

This is where growers meet innovators. Where millers meet technology providers. Where researchers meet industry. Where businesses discover opportunities. Where policymakers engage with the people working across the value chain. And where ideas capable of transforming the industry are given a platform.

This year’s edition carries a simple but powerful call:

TUJENGE — Let Us Build

TUJENGE is more than the theme of the 2026 Symposium. It is an invitation to build the future of the sugar industry together.

It calls on growers, millers, researchers, innovators, manufacturers, technology companies, financial institutions, government agencies, development partners, universities, young people, entrepreneurs and businesses from Kenya, the region and beyond to come together around one industry and the enormous possibilities within it.

Whether you want to attend, exhibit, innovate, network, learn, invest or discover new opportunities, there is a place for you at TUJENGE 2026.

And you can begin your journey today.

Registration is now open at sugarinnovation.go.ke.

One Industry. One Extraordinary Gathering.

The Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo has developed into much more than a conference.

It is a meeting point for the sugar industry.

At TUJENGE, the entire value chain has an opportunity to occupy the same space — from the farm to the factory, from research laboratories to technology companies, from financial institutions to policymakers, and from established manufacturers to young innovators developing tomorrow’s solutions.

That diversity is precisely what makes the Symposium such an important gathering.

The challenges facing the sugar industry cannot be solved by one institution or one part of the value chain alone.

Improving productivity requires collaboration.

Reducing production costs requires innovation.

Building competitive enterprises requires investment.

Creating opportunities for young people requires new thinking.

Modernising agriculture and manufacturing requires technology.

Developing new markets requires entrepreneurship.

And transforming promising ideas into practical solutions requires bringing innovators together with the people who understand the problems they are trying to solve.

Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering provides a platform for exactly those connections to happen.

There Is More Than One Way to Experience TUJENGE

TUJENGE 2026 is deliberately designed to accommodate different forms of participation.

You may come to listen and learn.

You may come looking for business.

You may have something to exhibit.

You may have developed an innovation.

You may simply want to understand where the sugar industry is going next.

Whatever brings you to TUJENGE, there are several ways to participate.

Attend TUJENGE 2026

For most participants, the journey begins as an attendee.

TUJENGE provides an opportunity to experience the breadth of the sugar industry in one place: participate in industry conversations, encounter emerging technologies and solutions, meet organisations working across the value chain and build relationships with people you may otherwise never have had an opportunity to meet.

And the audience extends far beyond traditional sugar institutions.

Growers can discover technologies and services designed around modern agriculture. Researchers and students can engage directly with industry practitioners. Businesses can explore opportunities within the sugar economy. Financial institutions can meet enterprises and producers. Technology companies can understand real industry problems. Government institutions and development partners can engage directly with stakeholders.

Sometimes, the most valuable outcome of a gathering of this scale is the conversation nobody planned.

A meeting at an exhibition stand, a discussion following a presentation or a simple introduction between two organisations can become the beginning of a partnership that continues long after TUJENGE ends.

Exhibit Before the Industry

If your organisation has something the sugar industry should see, bring it to TUJENGE.

The TUJENGE Expo provides businesses and organisations with an opportunity to showcase products, technologies, services and solutions before participants drawn from across the sugar value chain.

And you do not have to be a sugar company to belong at a sugar industry expo.

Agricultural technology, mechanisation, irrigation, financial services, insurance, renewable energy, transport and logistics, engineering, ICT, telecommunications, agricultural inputs, manufacturing, automation, research and many other sectors intersect with the modern sugar economy.

If your organisation has a solution that can help a grower become more productive, a mill operate more efficiently, an enterprise reduce costs, an institution make better decisions or the industry become more sustainable, Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering is an opportunity to put that solution in front of the people who matter.

Returning exhibitors are particularly encouraged to register early and begin making their exhibition arrangements.

The TUJENGE 2026 Exhibitor Handbook provides detailed information on exhibition packages, participation requirements and arrangements for organisations wishing to exhibit.

Bring Us Your Innovation

TUJENGE is not only a showcase for established businesses.

It is also a platform for what comes next.

Across Africa, innovators are applying engineering, digital technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, renewable energy, data science and new business models to longstanding agricultural and industrial challenges.

Some of the next important solutions for the sugar industry may already be taking shape in a university, workshop, startup, laboratory, farm or even someone’s laptop.

We want to see them.

An innovation may be a new agricultural implement. A digital platform. A better way of collecting and analysing data. An application of artificial intelligence. A harvesting solution. New irrigation technology. An approach to value addition. A use for sugarcane by-products. Renewable energy technology. Factory automation. Environmental technology. A financial product designed around growers.

Or it may be something the industry has not encountered before.

TUJENGE gives innovators something extremely valuable: an opportunity to put an idea before the people who experience the industry’s challenges firsthand.

That means feedback.

Potential users.

Potential partners.

Potential investors.

And potentially the relationship that takes an innovation from a promising idea to an industry solution.

A New Digital TUJENGE Experience

The journey to TUJENGE 2026 also begins differently this year.

The Kenya Sugar Board has launched a new Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo digital platform, designed to make participating in the event considerably easier.

Through sugarinnovation.go.ke, participants can discover the Symposium and begin their registration online.

For prospective exhibitors, much more of the exhibition journey can now be completed digitally.

Organisations can register their representatives and company details, choose an exhibition package, receive the appropriate invoice, proceed through payment and manage subsequent stages of their participation through the platform.

Exhibitors can even obtain an official invitation letter through the system.

The objective is straightforward:

Less paperwork. Less back-and-forth. More time preparing to make the most of TUJENGE.

The platform will continue to evolve as additional information and opportunities for TUJENGE 2026 are announced.

Were You With Us Before? Come Back and Build With Us Again

To everyone who has attended, exhibited, innovated or partnered with us during previous editions of the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo:

We want you back.

Every edition has helped build a growing community around innovation and opportunity within the sugar industry.

TUJENGE 2026 is the next chapter.

If you attended previously, come back and discover what has changed.

If you exhibited, return with your latest products, technologies and solutions.

If you met a potential partner, come and strengthen that relationship.

And if an idea has been taking shape since we last met, perhaps this is the year to bring it before the industry.

Registration is already open.

The TUJENGE Story Continues on Miwa Bora

Today’s announcement is only the beginning.

As we count down to Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering, the Kenya Sugar Board will progressively unveil more about TUJENGE 2026.

Expect programme announcements, opportunities, speakers, exhibitors, innovations and stories from across the industry.

And Miwa Bora will bring that journey to you.

Over the coming weeks, we will introduce some of the people, organisations and ideas coming to TUJENGE. We will explore innovations transforming the sugar industry and provide practical information for anyone planning to attend, exhibit or participate.

So stay tuned.

There is much more coming.

Africa’s Sugar Industry Is Coming Together. Will You Be There?

The future of the sugar industry will not be built by one organisation.

It will be built by growers and millers.

By engineers and researchers.

By entrepreneurs and investors.

By policymakers and industry professionals.

By technology companies and manufacturers.

By young people bringing new ideas into an established industry.

By innovators prepared to challenge how things have always been done.

And by institutions willing to collaborate rather than work in isolation.

That is TUJENGE.

One industry coming together to learn from what we have built, confront what still needs to change and imagine what we can build next.

If you have something to learn, come.

If you have something to contribute, participate.

If you have something to showcase, exhibit.

If you have a problem worth solving, bring it.

If you have built a solution, show us.

If you want to know where the sugar industry is going next, be in the room.

Africa’s largest sugar industry gathering is back.
