TUJENGE Edition - Call for Papers for the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium and Expo 2026

Have an innovation that can respond to a genuine sugar industry challenge or opportunity?

The Kenya Sugar Board invites you to submit your paper for consideration at the Sugar Industry Innovation Symposium & Expo 2026 – TUJENGE Edition.

Stand a chance to win KES 350,000, gain visibility, connect with industry leaders, investors, researchers, policymakers and institutions, and explore opportunities to test, commercialise and scale your solution.

WHAT CAN YOU SUBMIT?

Your submission could be a concept, emerging idea, prototype, technology, research-led solution, process improvement, digital solution, service, business model or commercialisation and scaling roadmap.

A finished product is not required.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for innovations that respond to a genuine industry challenge or opportunity, create meaningful value, have practical application and can be tested, adopted, commercialised or scaled.

Research-based submissions are welcome where evidence is translated into a practical solution, intervention, technology or commercial opportunity.

WHAT MAKES AN INNOVATION STAND OUT?

Show us the problem: What challenge are you addressing?

Show us the value: What difference could your solution make?

Show us the pathway: How could it work, be tested, adopted or scaled?

You do not need to have everything figured out. We want to see the potential, purpose and pathway to impact.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

Connect, gain visibility and recognition, receive valuable feedback, build strategic partnerships, and explore opportunities.

And yes, there are awards

Top Innovator — KES 350,000
First Runner-Up — KES 200,000
Second Runner-Up — KES 100,000
