Symptoms
- Internal tissue turns red and eventually black with a characteristic pineapple odor
- Poor/patchy germination
- Infected stools
Management
- Use 3-5 budded setts
- Properly drain soils
- Avoid injuring setts
- Setts treatment with propiconazole
- Plant in soils with adequate moisture
- Crop rotation
